Call Grandma and Tell Her Thanks!

I apologize for the break in my posts.  I have been super busy at work and have been getting in late, and have neglected my duties on WordPress.

That said…

An article on PBS cites scientific studies suggesting that our first babysitters, grandmothers, are responsible for human longevity long after our child bearing years are over.

The study shows that over the course of 60,000 years of “grandmothering” is likely responsible for doubling human life expectancy.  In addition, when grandmothers help out, mothers can have more children, which is great for the human species! Of course, this doesn’t count the overall experience of children who have a loving, supportive grandmother involved in raising them.

In conclusion, next Mother’s Day, splurge and get your grandma the bigger bouquet of flowers!
